  • This is a very nice campground, and the owners are serious about keeping it that way. The owners acquired the campground six years ago - it was in need of care and had a terrible reputation. Since that time it is clear they have worked hard to improve their campground. They are ALL about family. If you want a place to party loud look elsewhere. Their access is controlled by card, their speed limit is 5mph and they mean it. Break the rules and you will be asked to leave. But if you want quiet, and a great place to bring your children, this is the spot. Only negatives - no 50 amp service and the 30 amp was not full 120 - and no WIFI - hence only four stars - but they are not really about transients. They have over 130 permanent campers and a waiting list and will expand again. My camping neighbor has been going there for 34 years so they are doing something right. I'll be back.

Had to pay to visit my in laws and had to park out front and walk the whole park to see them with 3 bags and 2 kids. Wasn't too impressed with that but decent grounds

Owners not very friendly unfortunately but seasonal campers that we had come across were very pleasant

The property is beautiful and is perfect for families with young children. The pool was clean and the pond and beach were great. Lots of playground equipment for the kids and everything is handy. Unfortunately the male owner and all the seasonal residents we encountered were down right rude and insulting. The speed limit on the grounds is 10kmh and that is perfect. There are a lot of trees and blind spots and with kids playing and being kids, it'd be easy to see how accidents could happen with speeds higher than that. Apparently the speed limit doesn't apply to employees on golf carts. They were pedal to the metal all over...on the roads, on the lawns, between trees, day and night! The male owner was zooming back and forth after dark with speeds absolutely inappropriate to the conditions and proximity of children. The bathrooms were cleaned frequently throughout the day which is great, but again the speeds they were traveling between trees and shrubs adjacent to the playground was unacceptable. On Saturday evening I went for a walk with my 7 year old and she and I waved and said hello to all 6 seasonal residents were passed by. Not a single one returned our greeting. Not a single one. I am sure there are wonderful seasonal residents here, but we certainly never encountered one. My wife spoke to the female owner and said she was nice. We stayed in a cabin and was just perfect for the four of us. However when we arrived there was a plastic wrapper from a duvet on one bunk, there was mouse droppings on another bunk, and a torn ziplock bag under the bed. It hadn't been cleaned since the last people rented it. The drawers of the dresser had spiderwebs in them. When I was transferring food from my cooler to the fridge some water spilled on the floor so I wiped it up with some paper towel. The paper towel was black with dirt when I finished. The floor hadn't been cleaned before we checked in. We have camped from Quebec to BC in national, provincial, private, and forestry campsites. Never have we been treated like this by an owner or other guests. When we were checking out the employee stopped dealing with my wife to answer a question from a season resident who just walked in. Horrible service to end the worst camping experience I've had in 30 years. The female owner said she loves having kids around and that shows with the attention to detail with the play equipment, activities for kids, and proximity of everything. But that's where the family focus ends. The male owner is rude and the seasonal residents have no tolerance for weekend guests who help keep their seasonal fees down.
